Post Lower's ECU Bolt Removal Tool

I need to change my ECU and I would be grateful if I could borrow the ECU bolt removal tool Lower fabricated a while back.

Cheers

Haroon

There are a number of methods you can try:

1. universal socket http://www.amazon.com/Gator-Grip-ETC-200MO..._pr_product_top
2. hammer on a socket
3. use a Dremmel to cut slots in the bolts then use a screwdriver
4. borrow the Honda tool from a friendly dealer
5. pay a Honda dealer to take it out

HTH

Chris.

I'll give the Dremmel method a shot.

Thanks.

I asked my dealer to revove them when I had my car in for a service.

They tried to charge me an hours labour ...... I told them where to go and they removed it from my bill.

It's pretty hard getting a Dremel down there, esp the upper and rear bolt.

All you need to do is get a slot in there though. But I decided against it.

I'd sooner beat a socket on there. Get some cap head / allen bolts to replace them with too.

Thanks for all of your suggestions chaps.

There's only one way to find out which is the best method to remove those pesky fiends..

I'll be having a crack at it this weekend. In the meantime if Lower's bolt removal tool shows up that would be a bonus

S2ook broke one, MikeyK and J8mie had the other two.

Addressed to MikeyK and J8mie, where did the tools i made you go?

Lets put this to bed once and for all and if they can't be traced i'll look at making a couple more.

If they did break or didn't work very well, if the people that used them could let me know how they failed i would be able to make a better version.
