Default Lug nuts with OEM wheels

Hi all, how are we?
As some of you may know I've just purchased an s2k and I when I was about to detail the wheels, I asked myself the question again on how the OEM lug nuts should look.
Now I did notice that they were a little worse for wear when I bought the car (quite corroded), but now I also know that they are not OEM (they look quite long).
Anyways, I know from my dc5r days that Honda OEM wheels have a curved seat for the nuts hence you should also only get OEM nuts to suit (or other relevant ones like Mugen etc.)
I've popped one of mine out that was on the car to have a look, as well as a lock nut and sure enough, they are conical, even looking a tad curving the other way, 'concave' like.

A few questions:
- I know the above is a fact after a bit of research for the s2k, i.e. OEM wheel nut seats are curved, but has anyone actually witness any damage done, or specifically failings due to fitting the wrong type of nuts?
- tempted to buy a new set of nuts from Honda, but Lings is telling me it cost over £140 for a set!, but after a search, others have only paid about £20 from Honda dealer, can anyone please confirm? (else I'll ring Honda and place the answer here for future reference)
- wanting to buy Honda lock nuts too, but so far I found three types, or at least three part numbers, so is this telling me that not all Honda studs/wheels are the same? Does anyone know the correct one?
-- 08W42-S6A-600H - I think this is most suited for s2k?
-- 08W42-SJD-600 - saw on a website that these were from a Civic??
-- 08W42-SJD-602 - saw that these were from a CRV, not suitable for something like the new Civic Type R???

Thanks in advance.

Same part number across the board: 90304-SA5-013 US$5.82 ea = US$116.40 for the set.

Replaces: 90304-SA5-003, 90304-SA5-004, 90304-SA7-003, 90381-SR0-004. Google those part numbers for what cars they fit -- but it's gonna be every modern Honda or Acura with rare exceptions.

Jeez, if your car has been fitted with the wrong shaped nuts, don't drive it until you've replaced them. Such a bad idea!

I bought 'normal' Honda nuts and they were too short. The S2000 nuts are taller, so make sure you get the right ones. Just buy a set from one of the forum dealers like Hendy. You can be sure that you'll get the right ones then.

Ask Si at Hendy to sort you out with a discount code. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...thread-852693/

that's what Americans call them, we call them wheel nuts.

I bought a set off eBay - look totally like the OEM with the correct seat radius, been on the car over a year now with no issues. Cheap enough to replace the lot whenever they start rusting.

Many thanks guys! Will get in contact with Si for the nuts.
Wondering if there's 4x4 set version instead of the 5x4 as I'm thinking of getting lock nuts as well.
Can anyone confirm if the oem lock nuts have the part numbers 08W42-S6A-600H?

It's worth having a few spares, so you can replace when rusty (which will happen).

The OEM nuts are McGard items and are widely available from Ebay or other suppliers like Euro Car Parts (you may get a discount of some sort if you go direct).

The part number varies from year to year but I'm sure they are exactly the same:

The correct Honda prat number is 90304SA5013

For mine, anyway.

PS - Europrats for cars claim those lock nuts will fit my Leg End - they won't, since the studs and nuts are much bigger.
