No driver training was ever offered that I'm aware of, but that doesn't stop you getting it elsewhere.

As has been said on this forum many times, a day or two's training is the best value performance mod you can get for the car.

I don't think you have to look any further than the fact that the CTR delivers awesome performance at a price which is more affordable than the S to young drivers, who will in many cases be moving up from much less powerful cars. Honda are undoubtedly covering their corporate ass somewhat by offering the MAC courses.

It is odd that the S doesn't get the MAC day. If ever there was a car which should get one, it's the S. It's all down to money I suppose in the end.

I got an awful lot from doing the MAC that came with the CTR.
Now I've got my S2K and after reading here, I think I'll be booking myself onto the 1st lotus thingy in the next month or two.

It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the S after the CTR, I've been driving carefully because of some of the scare stories on here and I'm inexperienced with RWD, but so far, I've found mine to be far better in the wet than I expected.

A TVR driving friend of mine had a go, and went tanking off in the S, scared the pants off me, my palms were sweating loads, threw it about on wet roads and said "this thing is great, so well balanced, and really grippy", I was totally suprised at how much grip we had, I'm still taking it easy though.

Anyway, back on topic, I'm pretty sure you can book yourself a MAC day, did your instructor from before give you his card?
Mine gave me his card with phone no. etc on it, and when I asked if I could book privately, he said I could.
Although, I think the cost is

My MAC guy was ex-plod, 17+ years showing the police drivers how to drive, then fire engine drivers, ambulance, etc.

It's a very humbling experience, their levels of awareness and control of the car are amazing.

However, you don't practice losing control of the car, and regaining it etc, you can't on a public road. And as most S2000 owners come a cropper by losing the back end in the wet, for me, the airfield thing sounds like the best idea.
