As many of you already know I love keeping my babe clean even the bits you don't see!

AE - I know I suffer from OCD when it comes to the S but I just can't help it. I love driving when the car is looking really really shiny.

The guys in the states use random orbital buffers - can we get them over here in the UK? ANy info will help.

My arms and shoulders are still aching from Saturday's Zaino session

AB, I'm sure that someone has posted in the past in response to a similar enquiry to say that Argos had some sort of random orbital polisher. Might be worth a look. As I recall, it wasn't hugely expensive either.

Thanks MT.

Mike - I take it as a bad move then? It's just that guys in the US rave about it. DO you think you put the polish on too thick or something? Or was it just a shite polisher?

Cheers

I also purchased the same mains-powered random polisher from Halfords to give my 14 yr old 3-series a good T-Cut and Super Resin polish. Worked really well with good results, although I'd never use it with the S just in case I've got some grit trapped in the polishing bonnet. Super Resin Polish seems a lot easier to remove than Zaino too.

All I can say is try one and keep the receipt. I had no problem returning mine, the spotty oik on the till didn't even look in the box. It was quite big as well which meant around 25% of the panels needed to be done by hand.

I tried applying less and less polish to no avail. As I said, the panels were pretty warm but I had no problem removing the polish when it had been applied by hand.

I've got one I use on my current Astra with Turtle Wax. It's pretty handy, and gets a good shine a lot quicker than doing the job by hand.

Mine was

Zaino bros say it can be done but don`t advise it.
