MAP Sensor screws / Result of replacing MAF
Went to remove the screws holding in the MAP sensor today as I have a replacement, as soon as you put the slightest twisting pressure on the heads get mashed up. God damnit.
I guess they need drilling out and replacing but does anyone know what screws they are? So annoying - the easiest jobs always end up the biggest pain!

In future, use a Vessel JIS screwdriver - what looks like a Phillips head isn't & you've far less chance of mullering it with the correct bit.

But why do Honda have to use plasticene screws?
The bit I had was fully in there, literally just the slightest twist and it started to garble it up. Arf. Oh well - found a nice diagram here;

But why do Honda have to use plasticene screws?I had it with the NSX's headlamp covers & now one is dremelled into a slot-head!
And that was with an impact driver, which was a tad scary on a headlamp pod.
Managed to get the screws out tonight by smashing a flathead into the top with a hammer!
The really good news is after a test drive my low speed kangerooing is gone. Pulling away feels like a normal car now, the heatsoak effect I was seeing before seems gone. Pulls great throughout the range. This was with an ebay MAF sensor, £100 jobby. If it holds up it will have been well worth it!
I also sprayed a small amount of carb cleaner into the MAF hole and reset the ECU
