Default Marshall's Honda - Reading

My S is due for a service at the end of January (a while away yet!!) and Marshall's Honda, Reading is the nearest dealership to me. Has anyone had their car serviced at this dealership? Is it worth going there or further afield?

I'm not too keen on Marshalls, they always seem to never have enough time for you, you'll wait ages for a courtesy car if you want one, etc.

Having said that I know there are people on this forum that have had no issues with them at all.

My personal preference is to use Littlewick Honda (on the A4 towards Maidenhead).

I used Coverleaf in Reading for my MoT just over a month ago and had no problems with them. They fitted me in quickly and made the whole process of taking money off me very painless, no problems getting a courtesy car.

I know GrahamB has used them in the past, when they were Marshalls, and I think he was happy with the service he got.

Marshalls fitted a new rad to ours , scratched the bulkhead paintwork , ( not impotant to some i am sure )

then when we used the car that evening it started to overheat as they hadnt bled the system , then wasnt even the slightest bothered at their error when it was mentioned .

not a place i would feel confident taking my car back to .

But then i honestly think they are all the same , imho , most of the guys working in these places just want to do their hours and go home

I went to Marshalls to test-drive the S. I was put off by the fact the salesman kept pronouncing Nurburgring as 'Nuremburg'. I decided to buy elsewhere (and saved

I used to use Marshalls (before the takeover) - very average service, they were no better or worse than 80% of dealers, bu tthey were handy as they would pick up and drop off from the office.

Since I started working from home, I used Fish Bros. of Swindon, and to be honest they seem better (the service manager actually listens to anyhting you feel you want looked at and feeds back what the spanner-monkeys told him).

Can't comment since they were bought out by Cloverleaf, but I suspect the staff are probably the same.

When I had my last service Marshall's was very expensive so I went with Maidenhead Honda on the A4 instead and was very pleased with the work. I think grahamb went elsewhere for his last service too due to the cost issue. I think I got my service done for about
