Default Mileage

Ok, so how many of us really use the car and how many have a weekend play? What sort of mileage do you people on the board actually do?

Just thought I'd ask.

Often.

To and from work every day (50 mile round trip) plus weekend fun .

All of which equated to 11,479 miles in the last 11 months.

I have just renewed my insurance on an estimated 5000 miles a year.

I use the car for the weekly shopping on a Monday night, I use it for squash on a Wednesday night and I use it a bit at the weekends.

I think the 5000 may be a bit on the high side

use it everyday - but only average 100miles per week so far.

(However 200 per week during run in period by driving round at midnight for no reason other than to get the clock up)

OMG!, are these own cars or company cars?

I have never thought of selling any car I have had (I know circumstances can force the sale) but would it be true to say people sell before high mileage sets in on the Honda? Is this to hold sale value or do people just move on?

Very interested to hear some comments.

My mileage is slightly higher than (national-all-cars) average @ 12,000 pa. I have no thoughts of changing the car in the forseable future (indeed any slight thoughts I might have had about trading in for a MY2002 have left me with a strange feeling of guilt/disloyalty towards my car . (it would also be quite a sensible idea to pay off the loan before trading!!!)

Realistically, though it pains my to consider it, I will probably be looking to change the car at aprox 45,000 miles (people have this odd perception that cars fall to bits after 50k and prices seem to be hit accordingly). What for.......well, and NSX would be quite nice, but something pretty dramatic would have to happen to my financial circumstances to realise that particular dream. What else? hmmmmmmmm.....really cant see beyond another S2000 . Now a Type-R would fit the bill pretty well

I've had my car 3 months and have done 7,500 - old car was in Kms so I didn't realise the miles I was doing. Now that it's off the road after my bump this should readdress the miles in the short term.

I know this is slighlty off-thread but what are people getting from a tank - me 250 miles on average.
