Hmmm hasn't passed his test yet and wants an S2000, can't blame him, but he would probably stack it within a few weeks.

Not the most ideal first car , I wouldn't want to be his passenger

A few weeks, at that age I wouldn't have lasted a day. At that age I had my fair few of close shaves in the first week!

As for the insurance, sure they will manage it. A friend of mine is *just* 22 years old and has a 12 month old 911 Carerra 4S.... The premium

Depends on his attitude though doesn't it.

If he's got the right attitude it shouldn't be a great problem as the S2000 is hardly difficult to drive.

Remember all our parents probably grew up on RWD - albeit low powered but probably more 'slidey'/worse handling!.
