Default A Mixed Weekend

Ok, maybe a couple of weekends... the up and down goeslike this:Completed the process of getting the car to the spec of the old one with the stereo install (thanks Fester and Groova)

Pulled away to go to work on Friday and got a we shoulder

Took the car for a geo to sort the floaty feeling at the front and discovered the previous owner had left me a nice present; a bent lower arm! I have 1.3 degrees of positive camber and no adjustment left. Add to that a set off siezed bushes on the right hand side of the car and that wasn't the best day out

Got 210.6 hp at the wheels at the Dyno Day at TDI

Got a boot full of water on the way home

I'm off to see some chums in the cotswolds today and the sun is shining, I'm hoping to finish the weekend with a Time to go and drive the car and forget about all the other stuff

At least you're driving yours....and the suns out!
Between the gearbox replacement at the end of last year, needing to replace the TCT, the snow, and now a wafty back end meaning its siting in TGM at the mo, I've driven mine about 10 times int the last 6 months.....
I'm getting withdrawal symptoms I tell thee.....

Hmmm definitely a lot of rough with the smooth.

What's causing the boot to fill?

I'm not sure where the leak is, it appears to be coming in at the top so my initial money is on the seam... I'm also aware of famous last words

Ahoy matey

When you say the seam, do you mean under the rectangular plates behind the hood?

My bet is on the rain rail rubbers...they get brittle, break off, and the water no longer runs into the rain rail, but behind and into the boot. Take a look at my boot leak thread for more info. Failing that, let me know if you'd like a hand to find the source

Money there is either leaking rear roof rain rail or possibly blocked roof drains now that you have the HT off.

I've already had a gander at your thread (most useful and informative ) and am planning a full investigation next weekend. I have a day pass from Wifey I'll be starting off with the rails as you say.

Good to see you too mate I have a K&N Typhoon Short Ram intake and a Blue Flame cat back exhaust, pretty standard. I was really chuffed with 210.6

Yup, having done some reading on it (I even used the search!) that's where my money now is. I'll be sorting it all out on Sunday, as long as it's not raining... Oh the irony

Paul, which lower arm is it that is bent? I have an OSF lower in need of bushes and also a NSR (I think from memory). as well as both rear upper ones.

Hi Alex, it's the OSF lower that's in need of replacement, I'll PM you a bit later on
