Agree on Chris, but A7DY W's sig already shows "CG Optimised" so I think he's been there done that, not to say it's something you can't do again!
If I opt for Nitrons which could be a possibility I would deffo visit Chris again. Last time he set up my suspension, but we didn't have time to strip and grease all the bolts !!

Ooops didn't see you had had the CG done!

So look at new coilovers, suspension settings, strut braces etc then see Chris again and you'll be sorted!!

TBH I can't really afford a Supercharger but it could be considered although the car is a daily driver and I can't afford to have it off the road for long.
Mine is a daily driver .. an SC fitting is a weekend job.

I voted sell it

Fitting is just part of it for me though - its all the other stuff that goes with it. There are a lot of other hurdles like mapping, what happens when it goes wrong, MOT tiem, insurance etc etc. Its all a lot of hassle. But were going over old groud now... I think it needs a knowledgable true enthusiast to perservere with a SC.

Why thank you I'd hardly call myself either though
I think I was at an advantage having the Comptech over the Vortech.
But I agree, it's defo a more "hands on" thing now. It's defo not a fit and forget item.

If I did go SC I would want to do the install myself so that I fully understand how it works and fits together.

I also appreciate that you can just fit the SC and leave it at that but I'm just not sure and as has happened with more than one person - If it does go tits up its an expensive mistake

If you went Comptech, I'd be happy to pop up and give you a hand (Been a while since I've been to Yorks). But I agree it's something you should DIY, just for the sake of getting yours hands dirty. And I also agree on the tuning. Be silly to spend (I'll not say invest) so much and not get it working proper.

[QUOTE=jgsquash,Sep 19 2007, 10:59 AM]
I took mine on it's first track day back in May at Rockingham.
Before then I put new pads/discs/hoses on it with racing brake fluid as alot of people recommended that OEM brakes on a track tend to fad.

I'm a long way from considering the next set of mods, but when the time comes for me I think it will be suspension/ARBs and then Geo again with Chris.

I rarely get to use the full power of the car on the road as a daily driver and on the track the car's capabilities still outstrip those of the driver.

Have you also considered a "driver mod", i.e. some driver training. I'm going on the Andy Walsh's Carlimits airfield day soon and then hoping to put some of that into practice round Donington on Oct 13th.

Thanks for the offer Bibbs. If I decide to go the SC route I'll let you know
