A mod thread without spam
I thought the 'blah' thread had some potential
but it has degenerated into spam
more seriously, I would like to discuss this, not least because it hasn't ben discussed seriously for a while
the first point for discussion that I would like to put down is this
can we have an assurance that no mod/co will be appointed without prior consultation with the wider membership
I detest the practice of 'co-opting' and would like to be sure that this does not happen
thoughts?
from the mods on my request
and everyone else in terms of its reasonableness
lastly, can we keep the spam out of the thread please

Personally, I wasn't joking when I called for elections in the 'blah' thread
It's been mooted before, but since Ade no longer contributes, and MT is selling up, perhaps now is the time for some new blood.
I think we should have elections.

That is how we've always appointed CO's and it is how we'll continue to do so.
Volunteers are invited, then a poll put up.
Mark and I have been talking about adding new CO's recently in fact. I'll post a thread soon with what the CO does etc, and invite volunteers then.
