There has recently been a lot of 'project' threads on here that are nothing more than attention seeking 'look at me' threads.

(Quite a few of these could be merged into a single 'Chaved Up S2000s' thread)

How can you complain about chav cars with that ironing board on your boot ?

I haven't been here long, I've just been lurking really so I can learn about S2000s before I buy one for myself. I have learned alot about wheel fitments from reading mr r8byb's posts. For me at least the man's info has been very helpfull.

Er...

Firstly, I believe you described my car as having a lot of "stuck on tat"

No problem with this at all personally, but isn't that exactly the sort of comment you are moaning about??

And yes, I chose to post a picture of your car. But seems you are getting upset about that as well.

All seems a bit hypocritical to me.

And it didn't backfire, reson being I can take it if someone thinks I have a shit car

I will also add to LG's comments that since you arrived it's soaked up a lot of mod time. No point in saying that I guess as you just won't have it - it's all our fault.

I do think you can add a lot of interesting stuff to the forum. GE2 and I were saying the other day that your BMW stuff was interesting. Shame you can't just post more stuff like that instead.

RE the forum welcoming, point noted. We did quite a while back try and make it more welcoming, and i'm fairly sure that's still the case. You will see loads of posts from new people getting help, but if you wade into any forum with attitude i'm personally not going to mod everything around you.

I know forums which will ban you for text speak and crap posts (GTR forum for one) where we don't do it here, it's just a nudge.

@ all the bitching.

ATEOD 'some' people don't seem to have anything better to do with their time other than cause shit.

I don't know the forum seems to have taken a turn for the worst, and less appealing than it was when i first joined up .

I've never wrote in text speak, I purely mentioned your car as someone mentioned project threads popping Up over the last few weeks with stuck on tat. Mine, tommys, d2 tex, olliecrx are the four that spring to mind and none have stuck on tat. I mentioned yours as the canards and skirts look "stuck" on, maybe I should of generalised and said j's racing so apologies.

And as above post from Timmy, I'm sure loads on here have posted grammar and punctuation errors as well as spelling, including your above spelling of reason MB, however I don't see them being patronised or ridiculed (sp?) for their comments, why is that? Hmm...

I've apologised to various people in here by PM where I've felt it's due. I've not approached this forum with any different attitude to other forums I've been on. My attitude is to help others, share pictures of my car and share any problems or things I've found out.

I think there are now 9-10 people in this thread that have expressed the same opinion as me about the hostility if that's the correct word to use on this forum.. And generally that hostility has no reason behind it.

Yep but is calling someones car "tat" not the exact issue are complaining about?

My spelling of reason was called a "typo" and the point being you can clearly read the sentences. It's just a standard we want to maintain on here, or it will degenerate into an unreadable mess.

r8byb - Did you study History at school? If so, remember how Hitler thought he was right, when surrounded by others who disagreed with him?

Just think how that one panned out...

...yes, I am aware there are a select few who have your 'backing', for want of a better word

Care to comment on the rest of my points rather than just that one? I believe there slightly more important regarding consistency of moderation and the hostile feeling many people have.

I didn't call your car anything else, someone else commented regarding stuck on tat but then coented your car being one of the best. I was merely highlighting that those parts look stuck on... And the projects he was refering to had no parts that looked stuck on.

No i'm pretty sure you said it had the most "stuck on tat"

I've covered the hostility bit in my earlier above post.

Don't think I have much more to add here, it's pretty clear you are not capable of seeing reason or anyone else's points so i'm wasting my time as usual.
