Default More Problems

Has anyone had any problems with there brakes locking on? I got to work this morning and my passenger side rear wheel was smoking and the alloy was red hot.

I don't think the Caliper is working properly. (Staying open) What sort of money am i looking at for a new one and can i just change one or do i have to do them all.

Where's the best place to get one from?

You could go to a breakers and source a secondhand one, but you can also get a caliper overhall kit(available from Honda or Hardtop Guy in the states)

I would try manually winding the piston in and out of the caliper first of all see if you can free it.

I had this. Front left locked on and caused the smoke etc. Pain in the ass. Took it to the dealer who lubed it which lasted about 2 weeks before it happened again.

Its caused by a siezed caliper. I had mine done, but had new discs and pads at the same time..oh, and an MOT and paid about

Simon,

Your calipers are by my desk.
Your wheels are upstairs.
Your exhaust is in the shed.

My account with Ebay is still current.
My positive feedback is over 200.

Cheers mate.......................
