Default More problems

Hi all,

As most of you probably already know my car was hit a couple of weeks ago.

Everything is going well, all works have been approved by the 3rd party insurance company

Problem is the Chiswick Honda can't get the car booked in until 17th July - wouldn't be a problem normally but I'm going to France on the 19th and would like to take the car

I am awaiting further conversations with Chiswick to see if I can get it in any earlier, but in the meantime I thought I'd see if anyone else could recommend another Honda dealership for the bodyshop that I may be able to get in earlier.

Needs to be reasonably close to me (West London ish) so I haven't got lots of messing about travelling back and forth if I'm not happy with the work straight away.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Dan, the problem you would have is that costs have been agreed between the insurance company and the bodyshop who did the estimate therefore if you took it to another bodyshop for the repairs the whole process would have to start again.

Can Norton Way (Letchworth) do the work, I know a bit far but Chiswick is part of the same group so may be able to remedy any further problems should there be any ??

Dan,
I think Dave's right. You're probably better off sticking with Chiswick.

PITA though.

Do chiswick actually have their own bodyshop anyway? i'd have thought they'd be sub'ing out the work.

The estimate from Chiswick came through the same day, and the insurance company approved it the next day - so not too bad.

The hire car company have said they are happy for me to take the loaner to France so may be an option.

I'll see how I go when Chiswick phone me back.

Letchworth could be an option - about an hour travel though.

Speak to AB about paintwork quality at Chiswick

Anyway, I'm sure you could go anywhere. Crown Bushey use a company down the road from them, who have a decent reputaion I think

Does it have to be a Honda dealer? If not i would recommend www.seison.co.uk

Norton Way is a good shout too, being part of the same group as Chis

Sorted - Chiswick thought I was going to need a Jazz ( ) but as I'm getting a hire car instead it's not a problem

Going in on the 11th and back before the holiday

Thanks for your quick responses, appreciated
