Default More Wheels!?

So a couple of months ago I bought and 04 GT. In my usual style I soon got to modding it I have changed the alloys but found I cannot lower it/tune the suspension with them as the offsets are a little low. So now I'm about to replace them.

This is the look I'm after (I know - this is photoshopped) Suspension wise I'd like to MY00 feel back

Opinions Please

1) Put the 17" OEM wheels back on and Nitron up the suspension

2) Stick with the 18" Volks CE28N and try more camber, roll the arches, mill the backs a bit and generally experiment to get the look

3) Go with these rascals that are light and have perfect offsets - 18" Works Meister S2R's

4) Go for Stocky's BBS Le Mans which are 9.5" wide in the rear and a little low on the rear offset

Found some on a Silverstone not a good pic though

5) Lastly pitch in for Juan's Gunmetal 17" Volks CE28N after all they are one of the lightest alloys on the S

Mikey I'm sorry but I think the Works Meister things are really awful.

The easiest change is to buy Juan's wheels. They look fabulous...and it will save me

Only one option substantially improves the car's performance, nuf said.

EDIT: And you have biased the poll againt the better option - the photo which does NOT seem to feature a lowered car is the onyl one which refers to Nitrons. None of the other photos are representative of the final look due to all other options not including replacement suspension

If I didn't already have the MF10s I would have bought these wheels by now.

(I think they look much better than the MF10s ... but I just can't bear to part with them.)

the lighter wheels will give some performance improvement but the money is better spent on some Nitron sports (ignoring the bling factor )

Ade -

Craig - yeah I know the 17" CE28N are the purist performance upgrade along with the Nitrons. I'm going to make a bee line for yours and Steven's car on Sunday
The pull of the bling side is strong though
Not an intentional bias on the drops, though that bias can only be based on looks here
Couldn't show a dropped pic of the 18" CE28N as you cannot drop it on those I just wish these had higher offsets.
BBS's are two piece and fairly light.
S2R's are ideal offsets for some suspension tweaking.
Ironically I've just realised the photochopped shot has BBS Le Mans on

Steven - do the deal with Juan and AB don't let them go if you want them that much they are pretty dam rare and Amuse can't be wrong.

i like the standard rims better, they suit the car no end, gives you plenty of room then to play with suspension set ups. when the next one turns up on th edriveway i will be leaving it orignal on the outside and just adding hifi and a charger.

Option 5 all the way. Depending on how long you want to keep your car, you could recoup some cash by selling off the 17" OEMs now, and buying a second hand set in a few years time.
