It didn't. The S2000 prototype had a bridge to gantry time of 8'17", which would have put him on track for a full lap time of around 8'40". The M3 GTR was looking at a lap time of around 6'50", so the S is nearly 2 minutes slower ...

very true.. sliding is probably slower unless you are on a WRC stage..

on a similar note, we were just watching the F1 review DVD of 2005..

it has in car footage of every circuit..at qualifying speed..with the driver voice over describing his lap, and despite the driver saying he was "on the edge".. the smoothness of steering input was just amazing.. no opposite lock or sawing on the wheel..

Didnt the radical post the fastest roadcar time on the ring?

Who was it that posted video clips on track4fun those were impressive, entitled "honda s2000 mugen"? His car pulls like a train overtaking alot more expensive cars and feedback through the steering seemed alot better.
