Anyone know of a reasonably priced hotel/motel/guesthouse within easy access to the motor show and a safe carpark??

 

There's a Travelodge on the main A45 road out of Birmingham to the NEC - the NEC itself is probably around 5 mins from there:

(Don't know it personally though)

Or there's a Travel Inn in Solihull, close to where I live, which I can vouch for - it's about a minute from J4 M42, which then leaves you aroudn 10 mins away from the NEC at J6 M42.

IIRC the hotels on the NEC complex (Metropole and others?) are very expensive and usually fully booked months in advance.
