Motorpoint
Looking at a couple of replacement cars and Motorpoint are offering some great deals. Anyone brought a car through them. Seems that most of their cars are European imports, anyone had issues with insurance on European imports?.

Dawn used Motorpoint, I think.
No issues with insurance on the Euro import for me - with Direct Line at least. Others have reported issues, although I would suggest that insurers who have an issue with a genuine Euro import of UK spec don't know their arse from there tit!

One of my mates at work has used them and said they were fine. They are just a bulk buyer and most of their cars come from european sources so they are fully warrantied and well priced. Probably worth staying away from their extras that they may provide as this is where they make their money.
Have you decided what you're going to get yet?

As Funster said, Dawn Lang had a good experience with them buying an S2000 but it would be worth looking at her thread to see how she tackled the negotations, was only about 6 weeks ago.
If you get a new import, get along to your local dealer and get it registered with the manufacturer though.

From what I understand, there is little room for negotation unless you are talking part ex.
The cars are already priced to sell.

Hi there
I did indeed buy my car from Motorpoint.
Things to check for are:
1. They sometimes pre-register the vehicles which means you are in effect the second owner. I specified that I had to be the first owner of the vehicle or it was no deal - ask though and get them to e-mail you this in writing.
2. Motorpoint are non negotiable - the price is cheap and that's what you get it for. i tried to haggle constantly with no luck.
3. The final price they quote you will include a cost of
