I reset the trip every fill and only fill once the tank is low, always over 40L goes in. I never see the trip go over 220miles This is a daily driver.

40,000+ per year total mileage with plenty of long motorway runs - I tend to aim for about 80mph and I'll generally see 30-32 mpg depending on how congested the roads are on my regular 260+ miles trip from Ingleton to Egham.

It means that I can drive down to Egham, do my running about while I'm down there and fill up before I head home.

With long stretches at lower but constant speed I've seen as high as 35mpg . But then I've seen it lower than 20mpg when driving around the Auvergne or the Alps.

I always use v-power or super unleaded of some description so can't comment on the difference 95 octane would make.

I get about 220-250 from a tank, and thats a 70 mile round trip every day west on the A4/M4.

I've gotten alot more taking it easy but in this car the urge to kick the arse out and red line 2/3/4 is too much, the smile it gives me every time is worth the petrol alone!!!

I do a lot of motorways and consistantly get 27-28mpg going at *ahem* 'sensible speeds'. That is based on 240miles and filling up 40litres. The full tank is 50litres is IIRC, I don't usually have the balls to go all the way

Oh, that's with V-power and sometimes Tesco super.

Once put in a tank of bp ultimate, only managed 180mile to the tank on my normal motorway run Maybe a bad batch.

I get about 220miles to a tank of Ultimate. Thats ragging it about most the time and doing a 10mile trip to work each way each day. Not too bad really.

Don't really worry about how much fuel it uses though to be honest.

Had my S2K for 5 months now and b4 I got one I was hopeful of a higher MPG figure than my Alfa GTV V6 (20-22 mpg).

I reset the trip every fill up (Shell VPower) and usually get 45 ltrs (10 gallons) and get around 230-250 to the tank and I am a daily driver. I have got nearly 300 miles to a tank once of twice but that felt like a long long journey

However my g/friends Golf 2.0 tdi is another story!!

I would prefer more MPG but I didn't buy the car for that!!
