Had a day off work today - took the car on the mountain for a blast in the morning before giving it a much needed clean.
Anyway, stopped to admire the view at the top of the mountain - and then realised I was in a pretty big deserted carpark in the middle of nowhere - perfect opportunity to try a donut or 2. Never ever done one before.
To be honest I had no idea what technique people have used on all the videos - do they use the brake, how do they start them off? well I just put a full lock on and started off in 1st gear and progessively pressed the right pedal - and almost instantly rears are squeeling and I'm spinning round - pinned in the seat like I'm on the waltzer at the local fair - just keep going until I want to puke!
The car perfectly spun round and round on the point of the front wheels without making the circles any bigger. I think it was easy because I've got harder and smaller Yokohama's than the regular S02's on the rear - the tarmac was smooth and cool in the morning. Didn't leave much rubber on the ground but the air was pretty pungent.
After washing the car (Zymol wax still doing it's stuff underneath all the grime) - took out my wife for lunch at the mall, my favourite Korean - here is their special.

actually one benefit of having a newborn baby is that you tend to have to get up v.early in the morning - before every person who is still enjoy some zzzz -
but it means the roads are empty, and also the carparks.
