I've only owned it seven and a bit years.

Yesterday I noticed the scale on the tach. goes anti-logarithmic over 6,000.

It's quite useful for shifting at the correct point, but I'm sure that psychologically, it enhances the VTEC effect as drag resists the rate of acceleration, by emphasising the climbing power curve.

Kind of a late surprise-and-delight feature for me!

It's to give a linear feel, and help you hit the shift point better I guess, acceleration decreasing with RPM of course.

What about the fuel gauge then?

Clever how they factor in a randomiser, and add a couple of sigma to the probability of a correct reading

Well, on the grounds that I am absolutely unable to construct a contrary argument about anything I don't understand, I guess I agree with what you both say.

To put in in Wayne's World type speak, I'm just happy it doesn't suck.

It does? I'm going to have to give it a try tomorrow.

Anti-log? Sounds awfully American! Prefer Inverse Log myself

I'd never noticed that either. Bizarre. Pretty obvious once someone has pointed it out.
