I've only read a bit about the Mugen kit (and I'm heavily reliant upon Brian to set me straight!) but the Mugen manifold and exhaust are aimed at improving mid range grunt which will give better acceleration. I don't believe that the Mugen set up will increase peak bhp (although the ECU may do so, although I suspect not), unlike some other aftermarkets kits, such as Spoon IIRC. As it seems 99.99% certain that the European market is keeping the 2 litre engine, I will be looking to started applying some mods to the car, although the insurance premium increase wil need a careful watching (particularly as I got my first speeding ticket on my birthday on Sunday - will teach me for getting up early to pop into work when the roads were quiet)

Colin, I assume this thread is a ref to the Southern Counties set up which is CAI, exhaust and manifold only IIRC, still seems a good price if correct. You'd be hard pressed to import the three items for any less (although Colin is now going to give a little rant about the fact that the setup isn't really an official Mugen car )

PS I think Coxyboy has got the Mugen S - I seem to recall him smoking a few standard S2000s at the Midlands Minimeet!

On the other hand, as you say, it's a handy saving on just the manifold / exhaust / CAI.

How much are they charging for angle grinding the bonnet?

I'll keep to the Aus CAI and get the ECU instead on that basis!
