My first day with it.
Picked up my S today from BG's today.
2.5hr train journey & picked up at Liecs station by one of BG's guys.
Did all the paperwork in approx 20mins.
Drove home to Cheshire via Derby-Matlock-Bakewell-Buxton top down all the way including through some light showers
.Sun came out & things were mighty fine. Lots of looks from other drivers.
First impressions?
OMFG!! I love this car. Am still running it in so can't get it up the high end yet but even so i had great fun with the handling, getting used to the stunningly slick gearbox & learning the cars' little idiosyncrasies.
While northbound M1 had a southbound S honk me. Anyone here?
Have to add that Bob Gerards have been fantastic with this. I ordered 3 weeks ago with a 5 week scheduled wait so it arrived 2 weeks early. Excellent service from the guys there. This has been my easiest purchase of a car ever & the S is an import. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone or use them again.

....and I know I'm repeating myself here, but remember - wipers down before you lift the bonnet. A fair few here have gouged their paintwork by lifting the bonnet with the wipers up.
