Default My S Won't Start!

Hello all,

I've done a quick search for this but couldn't find anything. My S won't start. When I turn the key in the ignition, everything lights up on the dash as well as the internal light on the ceiling. However, when I hit the Engine Start button, all I get is a loud clicking noise and nothing happens.

Has anyone any ideas what might be causing this? If it's battery related, I wouldn't expect all of the dash lighting to come on. Immobiliser maybe?!?

if it is a clicking sound when you press the button it is the battery - you will need to recharge/replace/jump

They discharge quite readily if not used regularly

Thanks for the quick responses. Very relieved that it's only that. I only have the thing about a month! Will get onto the good folk of Halfords for a replacement.

Cheers again...

Might be worth recharging instead (unless it is the original) Even though the battery is new on mine, if I don't use for weeks/months it can discharge and all it needs is a quick charge...

If halfords, get the HD053, not the HD057. Halfords have their data wrong. The batteries are pretty much the same except the terminals are the wrong way round!
