Default MY04 Service Schedule?

My old man whilst on the phone just said he's sure the MY04 service interval is 12,000 miles. Is this right? and if so why would they have increased it from 9k?

That's not what I was told. The salesman told me it was the same as the old one - 9,000 mile increments or annually, whichever came first.

I was going to post asking for 04 owner oil usage. I'm at about 1650, and it hasn't gone down. I thought I was doing something wrong I have been VTECing frequently
