So there I am, driving back from Homebase after buying the S2k recommended oil replacement device, ie: a 69p plastic funnel, when I spy a group of kids ahead all pointing at the car.
Driving past I get the usual "cool car mister " comments, so I guns the engine as a thankyou and drives on. Then realise that the two people sauntering across the road up ahead are a couple of local rozzers! "Oh Shit!"
One stands in the middle of the road hand up ordering me to stop, which of course I do. (And yes the thought did cross my mind)
"Was that really necessary Sir?"
"Only trying to brighten up the kids day officer."

Looks at the group of kids, "Alright then off you go"

Wonder if this would work on the M8?

I had similar in my Ve##ra once! Lovely sunny day turned into the housing estate where the missus's parents live a bit too fast testing my new tyres with a loud screech and scrabbling for grip (TC turned off for fun!! ...............well sort of fun for a Vectra!) Got down the road a bit an Mr Police man is standing in the road hand out!!.....................................suppose I deseved the lecture!!..................but the road was very hot .....................................and don't all the cars screech in the US or is that just films!!?
