Default Need advice on UK exhaust modification

Hi all, I'm looking to do the UK exhaust modification to my 03 S2000 just to enhance the sound coming through the exhaust. I've read up a bit about it but still need a bit more information from anyone who's had theirs done.

The things I need to know are as follows:

1. How long have you had it done?

2. Have you encountered any problems since you had it done such as power restrictions or engine management light showing up?

3. Does it drone?

4. Where did you have it done?

5. Any other issues that I need to be aware of

I'm based in Kent so any recommended garages East, West and South of the UK would be ideal.

Thank you all in advance for your responses.

Hi, here's my two penneth...

1. Couple of years ago

2. zero issues.

3. not at all. I've got a 32mm pipe.

4. A welder & car enthusiast in Southampton. He's said previously he'll gladly do more.

5. Nope. Its a great mod. Not really that noticeable at lower rpm so you wont offend your neighbours, no drone, but when you open the taps it gives really nice, almost hollow note to the car. It gives the engine the voice should always have had. Makes the car sound less like a computer game!

Thanks you for your reply and for thinking up this mod. I prefer to keep my car totally standard but always felt that the exhaust could do with a little tune up. Hopefully I get to do it soon with such reassurance.

Just remembered one a little closer who I'm sure some members have used, http://solid-fabrications.co.uk/

Couple of things to note, give it time after the mod is done for the new pipe to coke up which will improve the note. Then once you've got used to the new sound, consider a decat. Now that really does improve the sound.
