Default Need some help please!

Hi

I bought my S2 nearly a month ago and put about 5-600 miles on the clock including a journey to Cheshire from Nottingham and back. I have just had a new clutch all fitted and a service (Full Honda history)

However I have one small issue with the car, it has only happened twice but I want to check it's nothing serious. The car has covered 109000 miles btw, basically when I turn on and drive for about 30 secs to a minute it feel like it suddenly without warning feels like its about to stall and almost the revs cut out, on the two occasions it's lasted a few seconds and then been fine both times it's happened it's from a cold start. Is it a dirty sensor somewhere? Once it has happened it's faultless like I say it's only happened twice but i have no idea what it could be? And I have turned it on multiple times and ran it for a decent journey no less than say 5 miles.

Any help would be really appreciated hoping someone has had the same?!

Sam

Hi Sam,

It sounds like you might have a bit of a temperamental MAP sensor or your IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor might need a clean out.

If it gets worse take a look in the FAQ at the 'map whack' you can give that a try to see if that helps. If it doesn't then try cleaning the IAT sensor. Also, do you hear the air pump kick in as soon as the car starts from cold and does it go off after a few minutes? This shouldn't cause the problem you are describing as I ran my car without an air pump for about a year but I'm just thinking out loud.

My bet will be MAP or IAT sensor.

HTH

Thanks Alex I'm thinking the same as you it's not tripped on any faults etc and drives great. I will get that looked at I've been reading last hour or so and that seems to be the issue but this was on the American side. Both myself and previous owner ONLY use V power..
