Default Need some reassurance.

Apparently insurance companies pay people to sit all day on the internet to see who has posted what about which accident/s.

This can then be used in your case

If the car drives OK and feels no different, you may well be OK. With the wheel taking the brunt of the impact, the obvious dangers are a distorted wheel (or tyre) or the alignment being knocked out of skew. More seriously, you could suffer damage to the wishbone linkage or suspension, but you'd expect anything that major to manifest itself in the handling.

I'd certainly get it checked out though!

If at all possible get his accurate details from his passport, I doubt he has a forged one of those and then get in touch with his insurance company asap.

with all the info about the geometry settings being checked and laser aligned - if u want a decent copy of the settings then pop me a pm and I'll email them over. I have an easier to read version than the FQ if u need them.

Hope you get everything sorted o.k. Jason. Get them to have a really good look at that rear tyre sidewall, as it looked to me as if that was what took the bulk of the impact. In fact, for safeties sake insist on it being changed. Good luck anyhow. Let us know the outcome.

Get the suspension arms checked as these often bend when loaded in the wrong direction, sort as necessary. Inspect the wheel for obvious damage and sort as necessary! Finally get the wheel balance checked and the geometry checked, adjust as necessary.

Good luck - that should sort it!

Cheers guys, certainly will!

So far it looks like we are having; new tyre, new wheel (fingers crossed) and bumper resprayed.

Full geo alignment and everything behind the wheel checked. Hope that there are no nasty finds!!!
