New battery
Anyone bought one recently?
The battery in the yellow peril appears to struggle to hold a charge for more than a week or so
So if you did, where, reference number and what price?
I've no problem with the performance of Halfords batteries, but it usually turns into a bit of a nightmare getting the right one for any of my cars
Like the terminals being the right way round

I got one from Halfords last year. As you say, they list the wrong battery - it's the right size, just the wrong way round.
Surprisingly, the salesmonkey knew about this and got me the right one.

If your dealer doesn't have a battery in stock and you're desperate for a battery. Halfords stock them. However, the model number on their computer has the terminals the wrong way round and will not fit the car. The actual battery you need is
Halfords own brand HB053

I think it's in the tech faq about the Halfords battery, I wrote to their customer services to inform them, so it may be ok now. I'll have a look...
It's exactly because of that kind of glitch that I want to hear from someone who has bought the 'correct' battery very recently

My Halfords one seems to be holding it's charge very well too, the car's been locked in the garage for long periods over the winter and the battery has coped, no problem.

just check terminal sizes also.. if it is a JDM (and if you still have got the original JDM battery).. the terminal connectors could be a different size to the replacement battery ..since there seems to be different battery standards between Japan/Europe
this problem happened when I replaced my JDM battery
