Do it yourself Nick and call a local battery supplier (yellow pages) and you should be able to get it a lot cheaper than that.

Do have the radio code to hand though as said above

Think I will still use dealer as I've not got time to go anywhere else today. The current battery is starting to play up and is messing with the alarm, so I don't want to risk leaving it another day.

I should have the radio code at home.

before you come away from Halfords or wherever, check that the terminals are the correct size

they are much smaller than usual on the S2000

you also need to check that they are the right way round when the battery is in place - if not, at least one of the terminal leads will not reach

The JDM cars have a smaller terminal than the EU homo. cars.

Changing the battery is pretty bleedin' ovious - don't bash the ring spanner on the car whilst tightening the +ve.

And there will be claret from your right small knuckle - it's regulation that auto manufacturers must hide a rough edge on the inner wing near the battery.
