Default New car delayed :-(

Grrrrr. Bloody Honda have just called to say that due to a backlog of cars in PDI I'm not going to see mine for another two weeks when it should have been here by now. Apparently it will move to "status 50" in a few days, after which time it will be transported to the dealer.

They could have told my sooner. Bunch of arse if you ask me.

Apparently they have a backlog of alarms and roofs to fit and therefore I suspect that I am not the only one waiting for a new S...

You'll get it soon - don't worry...............see if your dealer will let you use an S2K demonstrator for the weekend ????

Exactly the same excuses they trotted out last year when lots of GTs were delayed at the docks. You'd have thought that after selling these things for over a year now they'd have got the hang of the supply chain issues. And as for keeping you informed of your order process, Honda dealers are about as useful in this aspect as a one legged man at an arse kicking contest.

The guy who does all the PDI's for Honda is probably on Holiday next week!

Of course, patience is a virtue. I had, however, geared myself up to getting the car this weekend and the disappointment is great.

I can't even go out and enjoy myself in my old Pug as I sold it today.

Oh well, best go and reset that desktop countdown and start scratching some new lines in wall opposite my desk.

Sigh.

I, too, have been told the same thing by Honda - except that since I am part Xing the S for an estate car I am more than happy

Had the same when I was waiting for mine, how come Honda GB do not seem to have a fricking clue how to properly track cars.

They need to set and meet expectations. I was told my S would be available in June and it ended up in July, even the day before it arrived at the dealer the salesman could not give me a definite date.

I forgot how mad I was with there poor service

Woohoo! We have some activity :-)

Car has been released to the dealer and it's now somewhere between HUK and Clitheroe. Hopefully going to pick it up on Friday night...otherwise it will probably be early next week.

Only a few days to go now! I've even been clearing some space in the garage so I can take the tin roof off and enjoy the rest of the summer (assuming it doesn't come to a cold and wet end this weekend)
