Default New exhaust sometime in the future

Okay, I'm going to sound like a newbie, but the search function really is crap.

When the warranty runs out on the car (assuming I still have it then) I want to change the exhaust.

Am thinking: Mugen. Blitz Realize TT-r or the HKS Silent Hi-power.

So thoughts and opinions wanted.

I don't want anything stupid loud or something that drones. Not bothered about power gains as I know I wont get any

Why wait for the warranty to run out? In all my time here, I don't remember seeing one problem having arisen as a result of having swapped the OEM exhaust. Honda can't dodge the warranty unless a problem is a direct result of having an aftermarket part fitted.

I have an HKS Hi Power and not had any problems with warranty claims from my local Honda Dealer...

The HKS Hi Power is pretty damned good! Click on the HKS logo in my sig for more info.

Cheers Sundance.

Why wait? Mmmmmm, good point, just don't want to give the scheisters even a sniff of being able to get out of something if the worse happens. I know I'm being stupid. But it gives me a chance to save some cash and work on the Mrs as to why it's a good idea.

Thats almost like asking how longs a piece of string

Hks is ment to be loud ,but having one I don't think it is ,either that or its made me deaf you get a drone at around 3 to 3 and a half k although I'm thinking of going the test pipe route to help with this (tbh I found that I changed my driving style to overcome the drone)

You missed a few from your list the Amuse ,Invidia,Fujitsui is this because you have already decided against them or just couldn't remember more names

Invidia too loud. Amuse, everyone and there dog has them. Not convinced on the fitment of the Fuji, despite what others have said.

Which HKS have you got MrV? Kept meaning to get Jamie to take me for a spin so I could hear his, but food kept getting in the way

Hardly! There are maybe 6 on the board? Far more HKS, Invidia etc etc

That said, if I could turn back the clock I wouldn't go for the Amuse again. Don't get me wrong - I like it a lot - looks great, sounds nice, weights a hell of a lot less than stock.

But if aural improvement is what you're after (and let's face it, most of us are when we swap exhausts), you can get as good a noise from a far cheaper system.

The older noisy one ,think the new ones have baffles avalible to keep the noise down

Best bet is take a spin with a few different types ,there must be a few different ones on show at Mega Meet and Im sure we will all be keen to show of who makes the most noise or not as the case maybe

Get the HKS, not as chav sounding as the Invidia and a lot more sensible than the Amuse (why people pay silly ammounts for a lightweight exhaust but keep all the rest of the stock stuff is beyond me)

If i manage to meet up with you when your up this way Jason you can have a listen to mine.
