Default A new owner

Hi All,

A new owner from Dublin here. A 2001 with Hardtop that has 38K miles on it (yes). Silverstone grey with the red/black interior also got the hardtop.

In need of a bit of TLC, it sat up for a while, so already done the oils (engine, MT and diff) and filters.

Clutch master cylinder has failed though and there's about 1.5 inches of free play at the master cylinder Clutch bit point is about an inch off the floor. I suppose after 13 years, it is bound to fail. A flush took out loads of gunk that I reckon was the plunger seal. A new OEM CMC is on order arriving Tuesday, should be back in action then!

Looking forward to getting full motoring in it.

See you on here.

Thanks all for the warm welcomes.

Yes, yes, it desperately needs photos - I agree. I'll get it fixed and polish and post ASAP!

@s2000GreenMan - this will never be for sale When I think I'm bored, it's going into storage!

As a teaser here's a pretty standard one I took of the car. I'll get better angles when the weather improves:

Thanks for the link, I've done everything except:

1. I need a new CMC, the clutch fluid will be done then (again)
2. Re-torque of the axle nuts
3. Value retainers
4. TCT - it seems fine - no noise (yet)
5. Compression (again all seems fine)

On the other items, only the engine value adjustment remains! Not sure of the seat locks for me.

Thanks!!

Thanks, yeah, I confess, the newer wheels make the car look fresher than the original 16's.
