hello.
looking for some more grunt from the S, question is i can get a front diff from an 03 2.0L kia sportage, ive read articles that say only the ones from the 95-02 kias will fit the s2k?
any info on wether the 03 gears will fit and are indeed 4.77?

Jess, I thought the Kia gears were 4.625 which is what I have.

Sorry I have no idea about the 03 gears - where did you read that?

i heard the gears in the english kia were 4.778 and the new zealand kia were the 4.65somethings lol
will find a link to the page ive been reading.

http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/08...h/viewall.html

would just like to make sure im buying the right part befor i go pulling the car apart.
not too worries about fuel consumption and barely use motorways so the 4.77 should be the right one for me.

That's the issue - they were only ever available from Australia or New Zealand, back when I did mine.

I've enquired about this at kia and I think it was around £800 when I asked a year ago. It's really not worth it, just get some that are made for the S2k
