I can vouch for Centre Gravity, Chris is bloody brilliant, the whole cost of everything though was the best part of £500

to me though it was worth it as you get a full evaluation of your car and all bushes are checked as are all shocks and ball joints etc and he will tailor the geo settings to suit you.

I'd try and beat them down as you will be able to say all the tyres need replacing as they are not sutable for the car.
Really
Yes realy Tony, The guy says he's skint so every little helps I'd rather be broke than looking at ditch water from a stupid angle. So if it helps towards a decent set isn't it worth asking?

And to the OP most Honda garages wont have alignment equipment they will just take it to somone who has and charge you a premium, at worst it could be a Quick Fit with a brand new Hunter machine!

The OP said there are continental on the front with 5mm tread and the rears (admittedly budget) have 7mm tread, so why are they unsuitable ?.
Continental are a good quality brand and the rears although budget will be "E marked" so perfectly legal, will they be as good as the fronts ? probably not, but to say that all the tyres are unsuitable is factually incorrect. I'm not trying to be an arse Rich just trying to be sensible.

I would agree with Rich about the alignment, you will get a better/more thorough job done at a specialist garage than Dealer.

I had a "perfectly good" pair of big brand tyres on the back (Dunlop I think) of the S when I got it and they where the worst drive you could imagine. there's more to usable safe tyres than tread depth, a good firm sidewall is also what's needed on the S along with other factors. That's why we have the tyre thread.

Note to OP, make sure your garage reads our "comprehensive tyre thread" before you try and re-negotiate 4 new tyres into the deal

Hi guys, rang up sky insurance today to get a quote which they refused me and the guy on the phone told me how dangerous the cars are and that I should really consider not buying it as I will most likely end up in a ditch. Thing Is there's two s2000's in my area one owned by a women and they use the car as daily drivers surely there not that bad.

Thanks for the link to the tyres I tried them but I'm not local enough so I went on black circles and put the info in. I got the re050a or the re050 come up but no re050mz? What's the differance?

Both them places for the geo are 2 hours away would love to go somewhere nearer to me as I'm fairly busy trying to fund the dream, would it really be worth the 4 hours of driving?

The guy on the phone was wrong. Maintained cars are not dangerous. Drivers are dangerous. Remember, that advisor, sat at a phone in a call centre is there for a reason. It is not due to his in depth vehicular knowledge.

PS, welcome to the forum, and nice handle. Well, nice ish.

Try here for somewhere local to you: http://www.alignmycar.co.uk/

Get the tyres from Event, that way you'll get the correct ones.
