Default New S2000 rear tyres.

Hi all,

my S2000 (05) failed its MOT this afternoon as the rear tyres treads are on the limit.

I have Continental Sport Contact II tyres on both rear wheels, though was wondering if anyone could advise me of the best replacements to go for.

I have been getting prices on Continental Sport Contact III and Goodyear F1 GSD3.
On the subject of the Goodyear tyres, garages have mentioned both directional and asymmetric patterns. Can anyone advise which tyre model are which.

thanks
andy

There are quite a few threads and tyres on here so it might be worth a quick search. The Bridgestones were designed for the car, but others really like the Goodyear F1's. I had a pair on my car recently and didn't like them so I sold them on. Each to their own.

Why do you prefer the BS's mate as opposed to the eagle F1's ?

How do they rate in terms of, dry performance, wet performance, grip and tyre life.

I'm interested as i have eagles F1's on at the moment, but i'm a bit of bridgestone fan.
