Default New Slk

I just saw the new SLK in the flesh for the first time. Looks good from the back, but not too sure about the front!! Anybody know what the performance figures are like?

I might of considered a sporty one if there weren't going to be 1000's around in a year or so.

Plus the Guy driving definately had a hairdresser feel about him!!!

I've seen one too, looks better than the original.

Don't like the fact that you can't turn the traction control off though.

Still very girly.

Mrs RichUK would love one. Mr RichUK wouldn't.

Mr RichUK doesn't need one, even if he liked them!

Not seen one in the metal as yet, but the pics I've seen suggest that it's a dramatic improvement on the old version. Despite the fact that it's supposedly much more a driver's car, I can see it suffering from the same image problems.

Must say the new V8 model seems like a great car and has done wonders for the brand, but the lesser models are too girly to bother with.

For pics, go to www.autoexpress.co.uk and then the "previews" section. They have a good number of pics of this car. I think it's a huge improvement.

Kathryn and me saw a coulpe last month in France. Thought they looks really good too. The mags say the drive is a big improvement on the old model, but suspect it'll still have that girly/poncey image.

Think the entry level 200 Kompressor is about 27k and about 34k for the 350 with about 270bhp. And thats before you open the options brochure

I'd go for the AMG derivative if i really had to. Sounded and looked pretty good as the safety car at the GB GP.
