Hi,.......been taking my time choosing between the 350z and the s2000 over the last few months....i was involved in a nasty bike accident nearly 18 months ago and the money im due to get from the amount of titanium inserted in my body is already burning a hole in my pocket.... n e way to cut a long story short i test drove the nissan last week and i thought a bit heavy but nice car....... i drove the honda today and omg i want one ! ! !

i was looking to spend between 8 and 10k on something with about 60k on the clock......should i be concerned about the milage ? and what year/model should i should be looking for ?....... thanks
Hi and welcome.

Please try not to use txtspk here, lots of people really hate it. It's also fewer keypresses to type anyway, rather than n e way

For your budget, look at an 02 - 03 model. something with average miles is proably best, 60k - 80k for that age.

Take time to read the FAQ above, it'll really help.

The Nissan was on my short list but for a VERY short time.
I couldn't live with the dumpy looks, the interior ( roadster ) was a dark place, the stupidity of the passenger seat moving when hood raised/lowered, & the questionable quality of the plastics.
Went like the clappers but at too much cost in fuel.

The Honda requires intelligence and skill to maximise its performance, yet it can be pottered around like a Civic.
I love the looks but best of all it's not a common sight on the roads.

For those not needing to pose, or need the approval of others, then the Honda is for the individual thinking sports car enthusiast every time.

"???"
I took that as a tongue in cheek statement highlighting the fact that many of the opinions on here may be bias?

I actually considered the 350z too.. - I think it is a more comfortable car in some circumstances, a nice place to be, - I know the interior has been slagged off, but I dont think its actually too bad. One thing that put me off was the sheer weight of the thing especially given the fact its a 2 seater.

Nice car though - lovely engine note, both a good cruiser and fun when you want it to be - they've got a good forum also with many a happy owner.

Test drive both and I'm sure your decision will be much clearer

Coming from a biking background, I reckon the S2000 would suit you down to the ground. Presumably you rode because it was involving, raw, you have to think about it and most of all, fun to blast down A & B roads. If you're not looking to buy something that is 'easy' to drive quickly and is a more comfortable motorway cruiser (although the S certainly isn't too bad), then get the S2000!

Still a biker and recently bought S2000, choosing the S over the bike (GSXR 1000 K7) for early weekend morning blasts. When pushing the S it's just as involving as riding a bike.

Choose the S you won't be sorry!!
