Default nightmare

Well the new baby silver/red has arrived 4 days old now

But worst nightmare

the wife has reversed it into her car , luckly nothing bent but I now have a scratch behind the rear wheel arch (on the bumper)

Any body know the best way to get rid of it?

Any good places near Milton keynes/bedford that can do it?

I hope you gave her a good spanking.

Try your local Honda dealer. My local dealer specialises in small repairs and is very good at them. You may be lucky enough to have one close to you.

look in yellow pages for the dent doctor in your area. they do small paint repairs at your home. Also have some sense never let your kids or wife near your baby.

Don' be too hard on your wife, I don't think in all honesty, it's the easiest car to reverse, particularly with the top up..... visibility is limited. Bummer all the same though!

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Reaperman. My wife had her first drive of mine yesterday, me by her side, no reversing, God what a performance, talk about steady, I told her "Put your foot dawn a bit your embarrassing the car!"
Hope you get it sorted soon.

Hi reaperman.

I'm from Bedfordshire and can recommend an excellent repairer. The place is called P J Smith Car Body Repairs and is situated at Unit 3, Stanley Works,Ampthill Kempston Hardwick
Bedford Bedfordshire MK45 3JE
Tel 01234 341410

He is a really genuine guy and specializes in classic car restoration and prestige car (Ferrari, Porsche etc) repairs. This is the man to see if you want the same finish as the quality Honda one.

Hope this helps

Matt

So your wife was a bit unlucky, could have happened to anyone! What do you mean you didn't warn her about the lack of view Poor woman is probably devastated so try to be kind

We've had ours two weeks and both Stewart and I (the wife) drive it and the only mark on her since we got her is a pretty bad stone chip which he admits happened when driving behind a lorry. Guess I should have warned him about that when I read similar on the board

Hope you get her fixed up OK and please let your wife drive it again. At the risk of getting lots of stick from the other readers, give her the keys and tell her to take it for a spin. From one woman to another it really helps not having the other half in the seat beside you watching your every move

Logically, once she's got the confidence you can both cruise the countryside, stop in a pub and you can go back to having a drink and letting the wife drive home

I had only just told her to be careful reversing out and to make sure she avoided her car.

I keep telling her to drive it , but she's now refusing.

(she was most upset as she'd been telling me to be careful for 3 day's, then the first time she was in it alone she bumped it coming off the drive)

(I think I saw you friday composite guru, you had just come into woburn sands on the road from bow brickhill, you would'nt have seen my car as I was in a blue rangerover (moving a large server so the s2000 was impractical) you must work about 1 minute away from my company office)

Can't believe it before mine came did'nt see any for weeks, now I'm seeing them everywhere. (went to ipswitch to show my dad the new car and must have seen 4 in about 10 minutes)

thanks for the advice guy's I'll try calling some of them later this week (when I have time)

Reaperman.

p.s what is the best oil to use first in it, am I right that synthetic/semi-synthetic is bad for it?

what's the recommended brand/type?
