Default nitrous?

I was looking into nitrous last night for my s. this was after having a blast with a tvr griff on a 3 mile straight on the way back from work. my s was holding its own upto tonne 20 then acceleration dwindled and tvr passed me. just thought a 40bhp noz blast would have ammended this situation. any one have thought/experience of noz.

A Griff will leave you standing if he can drive...

Was that what he asked

Have a look around the US sections. Its more likely that some of them have used it.

Yeah i knew i was a loosing wicket from the start. just was thinking of extra power and noz or super charger seem the only way to get relatively major power gains out of an already highly tuned engine

Even with nitrous I'd favour the Griff. The wide torque band and huge power output are almost unbeatable. Of course he's likely to break down before he even gets to 50...

You could just accept that a 5.0litre V8 will p*ss on even the most highly tuned 2 litre straight 4 (within reason, and without spending thousands)

Be rest assured that this differential in performance is likely to be limited to the road and not affect your sexual ability or performance in any way......

Somone, somewhere will always have a faster car than you....

I've seen NOS on Audi's and it's

I've seen it implemented as Progressive NOS though - a % of NOS is added dependent on how open the throttle is etc., rather than point and squirt!

NOS is relatively easy to do and fit, the kits are getting better all the time. Tempting though it is, the killer is always insurance. Especially on a road car.

You're also potentially going to run into problems with the rest of the drivetrain, ie will the clutch take another lump of power, or just give up? If you're serious about it, I'd check on the FI forums to see if they are successfully running another 50bhp or so on the stock clutch..

Hmm... A 280bhp S2000 would be just what the doctor ordered.
