hi all just had a pull by plod tonight ( am jealous of your car ) for mis spacing of my number plate now were talking of only 10 mm here told me he could have giving me a

I hate to shatter your ego mate, but he's on 45K+ a year, I VERY much doubt he's 'jealous' of your 10K car.......

Got pulled over on Monday evening. Gave me the "Lovely car sir, nice plate sir but it's illegal" crap. Gave me a ticket, so it's another

DVLA do have the power to take the plate off you if you keep offending. I didn't bother mis-spacing my plate - wasn't worth the potential hassle.

Still don't understand the fascination with illegal spacing of plates - is it not enough to have a private plate without feeling the need to attract unwanted attention by spacing it incorrectly? It's asking for a pull because the ANPR system in the car will flag it up immediately as 'unreadable' or illegally spaced
