I bought a £10-20 jobby off ebay.. does the job and was delivered next day.. have used it many times and on many cars.. All you need is the code and the ability to clear it, a cheapo one will do this

don't know if its worth it, but is it worth starting a thread with the location of people who have OBDII and are willing to check peoples codes.

do it on something like pin maps or google maps to make it a bit more snazzy and then sticky it.

i use a laptop based one with digimoto 5 and a couple of other bits of software. not tried it on the s2k as i haven't found the port for it yet.

Can't you just blank off the plug and count the flashes ? I'm not sure about s2000s, but every other Honda I've had works like that.
