An odd question ..
So, it may be the case that with the swap I am doing I'll be unable to close my bonnet due to a supercharger sitting on top of the V8 ..
My question is if I still can't close the bonnet after lowering the engine as far as safely possible are there an bonnets which offer extra clearance in the centre?
Much like this one seems to:

That was an option I've weighed up, however I'm not sure I'd like the look of a stick on one :/

This reminds me of when I was buying cheap 'thirsty' Jags in the early 70's and planting various diesel engines in them.
Some of the bonnet scoops and bulges were equally as horrendous as the one above.
(Don't laugh.... They were different times and I was also planting V6's in 1936 Morris 8's).
Suggest a visit to the 'Classic Car Show" at NEC and chat to some pucker panelbeater outfits who will hopefully point you in the right direction.
It's a great day out anyway.
I'm sure I'm just one of many on here who really want to see this monster in the flesh.

I need a solution asap assuming that the bonnet doesn't close (I hope it does!)
The picture I've posted above ... I don't dislike it, but I'm not over the moon with the idea of getting it.
It'll be like a necessary evil unless I can find or someone knows of a different bonnet.
I'll have a bit of a dig around myself to see if I can locate a reputable panel beater who is reasonably close by too.
Cheers!
