Default Oh yeah!

It has happened!, the day finally arrived. I now have my S2000 nicely tucked up in the garage and resting. Managed to put 100 miles on the clock today didn't think I would do that many but I got seriously lost, from London I ended up in Heathrow before finding the M25. but like you people say the factor kept me lost for about 30mins whilst I found my feet in the car.

One unfortunate point is that is really poured down with rain today and on the damn motorway the car really did get rather dirty, I was considering cleaning off the worst but as I am making my way to Scotland 2mrw I don't see much point. Will be looking for cleaning tips when I return tho.

Roof didn't leak, kept it under 6k at all times (still bloody fast accelerating tho!), Concept 600 being fitted 2mrw for my peace of mind. Everyone I have shown the car to loves it.

Secret compartment and petrol release found after reading previous threads, boot seemed small but after showing it to my better half she was expecting worse so I did not get moaned at (much)

So if anyone spotted a MC S2000 wandering around (looking very lost) West London this afternoon, there is a good chance it was me.

Anyone have any fears of their S2000 being pinched? It looks even more desirable when it's yours!

Great stuff Often Congratulations! It's a great feeling isn't it!

Seeing as you're going to Scotland tomorrow, make sure you know the drill in the event of a puncture.(Hope I'm not jinxing you here but better safe than sorry.) The emergency spare must NEVER be fitted on the back as it ruins the diff. In the event of a back wheel puncture you'd have to swop wheels round till the spare was on the front. The car can NEVER be suspended towed, (Front or REAR) it MUST be flatbedded if necessary.

I know that sounds awful but best to make sure you're aware!

Have a good trip!

Congratualtions. Hope it was worth waiting for. Good luck in Scotland.

Let us know what you think of the Concept 600. I'm thinking of getting one myself.

Might you be able to make the Southern Mini-Meet at the end of March?

Congratulations. As someone who also had a wait of around 8 months I know exactly how you are feeling right now. Weather wise it is very wet up here just now but no snow or wind anymore. You should be ok for your trip. Maybe it will be sunny tomorrow

Got up this morning to a rather muddy car (considering it looked so clean yesterday)

Thx for the info ianb, expecting rain but hoping for the best.

Grudgingly handed over my keys to the Alarm guys this morning, but it needs to be done.

Will know nearer the time about the mini-meet, if at all possible I will be there.

Mrs Often, I also hope this does not happen to you, but.... I had the Concept 600 fitted and after about a week of it working fine, Blackjax working, Alarm Arming/Dis-Arming fine, Proximity Sensors working (Kept beeping at people when they were going up to the car and staring through the windows outside PC world) etc. it all went a bit wrong... I was driving along and the Indicator Lights on the dash come on, they were on perminantly and would not go off. Pulled over take a look at what it was and they were all on on the outside as well. Was in Southampton when this happened so had to drive all the way back with all my indicators perminatly on, and not being able to signal at all. Then just as I get back into Aylesbury, BlackJax kicks in and the alarm went off, so I am stuck about 10 minuets away from where I got the alarm fitted.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, it seems there was a problem with the alarm being wired through the cars fuse box. It appears that something was "spiking" and causing the alarm to go wrong. They have since re-wired the alarm direct to the battery and touch wood, it appears to be fine.

If it did happen to you, they put a few fuses under stearing wheel, to the right, behind the dash. You have to pull out the 20(AMP??) Fuse and leave it out for a few minutes, when you put it back in the alarm will have reset itself and you should be able to disarm it, put in your blackjax code and it will go back to "normal".

ps. It was not a faulty alarm as they actually replaced it with a brand new unit before the re-wire and it did exactly the same. But they have done a couple of other S2000 installs (not 2002 models) and it had not done it on them.
