IIRC it's the PCX that tells you it's the right one.

I bought some of those crappy popper things that attach the undertray recently and I had to give the parts guy the chassis number before he'd give me any.

The parts guy @ Warrington can be a pedant
Do a quick search on "correct oil filter" I recall this being discussed a couple of weeks ago.

Right, so it's supposed to be 15400-PCX-004? Why have they given me a ... -305 one? I told them it was for an 03 S2K?

...aah, i've just thought. The pack also came with the filter removal tool - could that change the part number, as it's listed as a kit on the invoice??

could be, check the numbers on hondapartsnow.com

You'll see that the part you have is a newer one listed for 2008-09 cars. Although I don't know of any difference regarding filters between the two.

Cheers Ninebolts. It seems that it lists the part for 2000 - 2007, too (unless i'm reading it wrong - which is more than likely! )

why can't they just have one part and never replace/update them?!

From the saddo who posted picture of his oil filter on the internet

Looks like it's the same thing but as you said it comes with the tool. Both filters are made by "Toyo Roki" which is what you want. Was the washer part of the kit?

I need to pick one of these up too
