Default Is it ok to...

I'll be going on holiday for three weeks in July... i know its 4 months away, but i will be leaving my S undriven for 3 weeks...

What i would like to know is, it fine to leave it undriven for three weeks?

Is there anything i should do to it?

I am thinking of letting my cousin drive it for me whilst i'm away.. but i feel uneasy passing my S to someone else...even if he is my cousin...

Any ideas would be appreciated

Give it a good run before you park it up to ensure the battery is fully charged.

Maybe leave the handbrake off depending on where it is parked.

Other than that do nothing.

Keep the handbrake off and put it in gear, other than that it should be fine. I work away a month at a time and thats all i do with no issues it will be fine especially if its garaged

You might want to hook it up to a battery conditioner.

Only lend it out if 100% confident in that person TBH.

Trickle charger if you're worried and leave handbrake off.

Oh, and put the roof up if it's outside.

Well, i'm close to my cousin and he's into Hondas as well, as he owns a CTR, so i guess if he scratches my car i'll do it back to his? LOL

So all i have to do is:
1. Leave hand brake off and put it in gear.
2. Connect it to battery/trickle charger?
3. MUST FIND AN EMPTY GARAGE!!!! ARRRGGHHH...

Cheers

Dont forget to turn off the engine, this can cause real problems later.

I'd preserve it in a nitrogen cocoon and put some armed guards next to it

For the battery make sure you get a battery conditioner, rather than a trickle charger. I use a CTEK XS3600 and am very happy with it.

If you vanish from its life for an extended period (3 weeks) and then return, it will almost certainly sulk until groomed and played with. It may also attack you playfully as a form of reproach at first...

No, wait, that's cats...

Ho hum, same advice still applies though: On return from holiday thou shalt spend hours upon end detailing the damned thing, otherwise it won't go fast any more. Remember, it is a widely accepted scientific (ish) fact that a shiny car is a happy car and a happy car is a fast car!
