Default One for the electrical / loom experts

This connector is located down in the driver footwell on a '99 UK car behind the trim panel by the accelerator pedal.

Under normal cicumstances, what is it connected to?

Audio controls connector?

Sorry I cant help but have a free bump!

It looks not too dissimilar to the large grey connector that is connected to the ecu in the passenger footwell.

If you lay with you back flat in the driver footwell (its a squeeze) you might be able to see up into the dash and figure its origins

Alternatively its something to do with the Honda fitted H&P Alarm system?

Pretty sure that is the plug for the driver side loom. Connects the loom to the main harness inside? Ive just fitted all my looms yesterday on a 2000 model and pretty sure that was one of them. Other than that it could be the keyless entry module plug. Connects to a small black box.

Yeah I think it's the main rear loom which runs down under the scuff plate - maybe things like CD auto changer, fuel sender, fuel pump relay antenna, seatbelt sensors, brake lights, roof motors - not sure how many of those it takes care of or what you'd miss in a track car though.

Problem solved!

One of the fabricators had tucked the other end away and then hidden it rather well when welding up the roll cage.

Excellent, I was thinking you were planning on not plugging it back in (because race car) and wondering what you'd loose if you didn't

No, no at all.

The looms had already been stripped back to the bare necessities in about June.

Literally I couldn't find the counterpart bastard connector and it was causing the old girl not to fire.

It was just err... hiding.

Good place to look for faults for the above if they happen to arise
