Only wanted to pop to the shops...
Fella; I hope you get this sorted to your satisfaction.
It's a real sickener when you look high & low for a real decent P&J, then some scumbag damages it and you have all the agrro trying to get it repaired, with the worry lurking all the while as to whether it's been repaired properly, how it will affect the residual value, insurance, etc.
I've been down this road once or twice over the years and often wondered whether or not it's worth having a decent car. I've got an old chugger for work and my S is always parked somewhere safely, wherever I go, in the hope that no harm comes to it (be a good move to get it garaged).
Also; I have to agree with others commments re insurer's recommended garages. I for one would suggest you hold fire on the garage recommended by Admiral and at the very least see what you can research about their standard of workmanship (might even be worth popping into the bodyshop for a look; they should have no objections if their work is to a satisfactory standard), or alternatively find your own. I would personally seek out a classic car restorer as I'd bet you'd get a better job done. Also; ensure whoever carries out the work they specifically/strictly itemise what needs and will be repaired before you authorise the go-ahead.
Best of luck; i hope you get it sorted out OK

Thankfully nobody was harmed.
The driver's car probably got loaded away.
Wow. All three cars happened to be insured by Admiral, I'm sure that expedited the process a whole lot.
Hopefully everything gets sorted neatly.

Surely everyone can just claim off the drunk girl, provided you or the police have been able to trace her? Did the police track her down and get her insurance details?
I don't see why the Corsa driver would claim off you. You weren't in the car at the time and hence it can't be your fault.
If I owned the Corsa, I would be going straight to the drunk girl's insurers.
However, whether you reporting it to your insurer affects your NCB etc is down to them - it probably will do though.

However, in this case, it's co-incidentally all the same claim handler.
Just wanted to give everyone who chipped in with advice and recommendations etc an update on my S which saw the back end shunted back in November. First of all thanks to you guys
It really did help when venturing into the claim! Which went smoothly to be honest, although after everything and Admiral saying 'it won't effect your policy etc' It bloody well did! They wanted almost £400 more
and even with that price I then smugly advised them that I now keep it in a garage, to which they came back with 'okay that's actually another £35 on top of that'
So I ended up going with Axa which was cheaper than the year before by £30, and that's with the claim
Anyway I took precaution and looked at various reviews of the recommended garage where my S was possibly going to get repaired, and made a visit to speak to a couple of the guys. They were really friendly and realised how much the car meant to me (I made sure they did), and some added confidence seeing certificates of recent years of 'Paintwork Excellence' from Jaguar Land Rover on the wall inside. So I decided to have the work carried out with them, which took roughly three weeks to complete, all the while getting text updates on which stage they're in and when to expect the next update. It wasn't written off in the end, purely cosmetic so good shout Ultra_Nexus for the guess. New bootlid (got a brand new one which saved me having to pay out to have a small dent and scratch removed!), lenses, bumper, tailgate, bulbs, numberplate etc
When I got the call to pick her up I as like a kid! As much fun (or not) as the Corsa was it was time to ditch it! And when I arrived I had a really thorough look around the car's rear end (ooo errr)
and was really happy with the end result, to which I fish tailed (accidentally) out of the forecourt! Perfect timing too as a council garage had just become available a few days prior, with a short 45 second walk from my house
And it's pretty much been there ever since, apart from a few spirited drives around the countryside
And with my new garage I decided to fit my rear spoiler (BMWCHOP) which, in my opinion, has enhanced the rear end..
Thanks again to the S2Ki community!
Phone pics so not the best..

lol. The original pics have been replaced with different pics. I remember the pics originally showing the damage at time of original posting.
That's a nice _big_ garage btw, the garages where I live were designed at the time of Mini Coopers and you'd be lucky if an S2000 can even fit through the opening.
