Hi, i've just phoned up Lookers Honda to book in my oil and filter change (mainly
to get my stamp) last time i paid

Agree'd about the independant though.
But if you're a low mileage driver then the extra for dealer history may be worth while. Try another dealer?

Yes, although I thought they used a running in oil from new?

Either way, its still average compared to the fully synth ester based oil that is Silkolene Pro-S whether they put it in the car from new or not.

Oh no here we go - oil again.... bit of a controversial statement hypersonic that I think.

Ester based oil is not as good for people who do short trips, as when the engine starts to warm the condensation brakes ester based oil down faster therefor its not as good as other oils. Acidity in the oil is Bad!

The jury is stil out... you will never win an Oil debate. I think its personal prefference as there is nothing really to suggest a top semmi synth mineral oil will be out performed by a fully sythetic oil even if it is ester based or otherwise.

Just had this done in swindon, i supplied the oil and filter, cost with reciept and stamp was

Kev try Francis Honda nr Melton Mowbray.. alot nicer than Lookers (who wouldnt even sell me an S2k!!.. i bought mine from francis) ... nice little set up and you can go into Melton for a pork pie while ur waiting lol ... main dealer are a pian ... if you want some numbers for independants in your area let me know.. i look after 300 garages across the uk for a car serving company so got some good contacts
